Lieutenant Colonel Le Hong Quan, representing the Engineering Company Rotation 3, shared valuable experience gained after a challenging year of service, highlighting the dedication and sense of responsibility shown by Vietnamese “Uncle Ho’s Soldiers.”
On behalf of the new rotation, Lieutenant Colonel Trinh Van Cuong, Head of the Engineering Company Rotation 4, expressed determination to build on the achievements of their predecessors. He affirmed that all officers and soldiers had been thoroughly briefed on U.N. and mission regulations and were committed to upholding traditions, demonstrating professionalism, and striving to fulfilling all assigned duties, contributing to beautifying the image of Vietnamese blue berets.

At the event, heads of both units signed the handover record and handed over the seal, marking an important milestone in the transition process. The on-site handover created a firm foundation for ensuring seamless and efficient continuity of operations.
One of the first and most urgent tasks for the Engineering Company Rotation 4 is to reinforce and expand the camp infrastructure, ensuring a safe and stable working and living environment amidst the region’s challenging conditions.

The event reaffirmed Vietnam’s strong commitment to U.N. peacekeeping operations. The smooth rotation of forces guarantees continuity within the UNISFA mission and demonstrates the professionalism and organizational capacity of the Vietnam Department of Peacekeeping Operations.
With the legacy left by the predecessor and the unity and determination of the successors, the transition reflected the discipline, dedication, and high sense of responsibility of the Vietnam People’s Army, further strengthening Vietnam’s standing in U.N. peacekeeping missions.
