At the meeting, Gen. Giang emphasized that defense cooperation between Vietnam and Belarus has been implemented effectively, in line with the overall time-honored friendship and multifaceted cooperation between the two countries, and with international treaties and agreements signed. He said that the ties have yielded many positive outcomes.
The Vietnamese defense chief expressed his delight at the sound development of the Vietnam - Belarus time-tested friendship and strategic partnership across many fields, noting that defense cooperation continues to play an important role in that relationship.

He affirmed that the Vietnamese people and military always treasure the valuable support and assistance given by their Belarusian counterparts during Vietnam’s past struggle for national independence and reunification. As a token of gratitude, the Vietnamese Ministry of National Defense built the Vietnam - Soviet Union Friendship and Solidarity Monument, which also honors Belarusian military advisors, in the campus of the Vietnam Military History Museum.
On this occasion, Gen. Giang sincerely thanked the Belarusian Ministry of Defense for sending a high-ranking delegation to attend the celebration of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and Vietnam’s National Day on September 2.

He expressed his hope that based on the spirit of traditional friendship and multifaceted cooperation between Vietnam and Belarus, the two sides will continue to closely coordinate and effectively implement agreed areas of cooperation, focusing on delegation exchanges, effective realization of signed cooperation documents, and maintenance of exchanges and collaboration between arms and services of the two militaries.
For his part, Major General Pavel Muraveiko expressed his belief that there remains great potential for further development of bilateral defense cooperation. He voiced his hope that Gen. Giang would continue to support and facilitate the deepening of bilateral defense ties.

Regarding future cooperation, the Belarusian guest agreed with the host’s opinions and affirmed that Belarus will promote training cooperation based on the needs of both sides, while staying ready to boost collaboration in other potential areas, such as military science and military medicine.
