This year’s forum brought together more than 1,800 participants, including defense ministers, senior military leaders, experts, and scholars from over 100 countries, territories, and international organizations. General Phan Van Giang, Politburo member, Deputy Secretary of the Central Military Commission, and Minister of National Defense, led the high-ranking delegation of the Vietnamese Ministry of National Defense to the event. He delivered an important keynote speech at the first plenary session, which drew significant attention from delegates.

Discussions at the forum focused on pressing global issues, such as peace and security, management of emerging technologies, conflict resolution, and enhanced defense cooperation amid growing uncertainties. Plenary sessions centered on building a fair global security governance system, strengthening strategic trust in the Asia-Pacific, safeguarding international order, and fostering regional stability and cooperation.
Parallel panels addressed great-power relations, regional security cooperation, political solutions to local conflicts, arms control, and the implications of new technologies for warfare. Another key highlight was in-depth exchanges on emerging technologies, a field of growing global interest, particularly among major military powers. Delegates examined their application, control, and impact on modern and future warfare.
Marking historical milestones, the forum also featured academic activities commemorating the 80th anniversaries of the Victory over Fascism and the establishment of the United Nations.
