In the 2020-2025 term of Viettel’s Party Organization, the group asserted its strong internal strength and growing prestige, both domestically and internationally.

According to Gen. Thang, Viettel has achieved a series of transformative milestones. The group has successfully transitioned from a telecoms operator into a technology company that provides digital services and masters digital infrastructure. Notably, it has pro-actively been expanding its business into new domains such as logistics, digital solutions, and artificial intelligence (AI). Many of its developed hi-tech products have been exported to international markets, marking Viettel’s growing presence in the global tech arena.

Attentively, the group’s revenue growth rate reached 10.3% by the end of 2024, the highest in the industry and the first double-digit increase in seven years.

Gen. Thang said that the Group is the first state-owned enterprise to have a Prime Minister-approved development strategy by 2025 with a vision to 2030 and a comprehensive restructuring plan. Viettel has also been entrusted with using post-tax profits to reinvest in defense and security R&D. The group’s excellent task performance has earned its increasing trust from the Party, State, and military, reflecting Viettel’s vital role in addressing strategic national challenges.

Regarding future development of the group, Gen. Thang affirmed that Viettel aligns its goals with breakthrough strategies set by the Party, the State, the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense. In a time when technology evolves rapidly, the future is not something to wait for, Viettel embraces the mindset of acting faster and building the future pro-actively.
