The 7 th International Exhibition on Automation, Measurement and Control (Automa Vietnam 2008) opened in Hanoi on September 27.

The four-day event, organised by the Vietnam Automation Association, is part of a key national programme on trade promotion of this year.

Addressing the exhibition, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Do Huu Hao said this is an opportunity for businesses to share experiences, technology and products as well as for management agencies and policy makers to inquire into the production and trade of automatic products in Vietnam and regional countries.

Nearly 100 local and foreign businesses are joining the exhibition, displaying more than 20,000 products, including security systems, electricity equipment, robotics and technology solutions.

A number of seminars will be held on the sidelines of the event, including the seminars on the tendency toward automation in the world, the application of automation in the production of cement and electricity, and robotics development.
