The conference was co-chaired by Lieutenant General Ho Quang Tuan, Chief of the GDDI, and Major General Tao Duc Thang, Chairman and General Director of Viettel. The event was also attended by leaders from the GDDI, Viettel's Board of General Directors, and representatives from various agencies and units of both sides.

The report at the conference highlighted that over the past four years, GDDI and Viettel have actively and consistently coordinated, exchanged information and implemented joint activities effectively. This has helped both GDDI and Viettel fulfill their assigned tasks, with some outstanding accomplishments.

Specifically, GDDI has collaborated with Viettel and other relevant agencies and units in advising the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense, proposing to the leadership of the Party and State the issuance of resolutions, laws, programs, and policies to develop the defense industry. Notable achievements have been made in the research, design, production, and improvement of weapons and technical equipment, as well as in ensuring defense materials. Additionally, there has been significant progress in promoting international trade, cooperation, and digital transformation.

For the 2025-2030 period, GDDI and Viettel plan to continue their collaboration in building strategies, programs, and policies for defense industry development. The cooperation will extend to the research, design, production, and improvement of weapons and technical equipment, organizing and participating in international defense exhibitions, promoting defense industry products, and engaging in joint activities and exchanges. Their partnership will also focus on training, technical expertise exchange, developing civil and dual-use products, digital transformation, and applying information technology.

Speaking at the conference, Lieutenant General Ho Quang Tuan and Major General Tao Duc Thang commended the achievements made in the past cooperation, particularly in giving advice on defense industry development, scientific and technological research, and weapons production, including UAVs and military ships.
