An overview of the event

Under the signed agreement, Viettel will promote digital transformation in military and e-publishing activities of the publisher in the 2024-2025 period with vision to 2030. The two sides will share and promote each side’s strength, potential in terms of human resources, infrastructure, technology, experience, and other resources to fulfill assigned missions.

They will also further apply scientific and technological advancements to research, development and application of products, software, tools, and equipment to military and electronic publishing activities, ensuring security and safety of the information system.

In addition, they will cooperate in building and implementing digital platforms and digital applications to serve the management, editing, publishing and issuing traditional books and e-books.

At the event, Sr. Col. Pham Manh Truong emphasized that digital transformation is an inevitable trend in today's development. To meet task requirements of the unit and increasing demands of readers, the publisher must have a strategy in which digital transformation should be sped up to develop the publishing house into a smart, modern publisher to well perform its functions and tasks assigned by the Central Military Commission, the Ministry of National Defense and the GDP and to meet the needs of readers inside and outside the military.

In his speech, Maj. Gen. Tao Duc Thang said that Viettel Group will further cooperate and support the People’s Army Publishing House in digital transformation and effective application of technologies and software to the unit’s activities.
