Hat Ngoc Troi An Giang wins big at HCM Television Cycling Tournament
PANO - With impressive performances, cyclists from Hat Ngoc Troi (Heavenly Pearl) An Giang team secured their places in the individual rankings while cyclist Nguyen Thanh Tam successfully defended his yellow jersey at the 17th stage of the ongoing Ho Chi Minh Television Cycling Tournament - Ton Dong A Cup 2018.
In this stage, taking place on April 15 in Nha Trang city over a distance of 48kms, cyclists competed for the group event calculated by time, in which the Vietnam USA Society English-Ho Chi Minh City (VUS-HCM) team maintained its leading position.

Though their teammates Le Van Duan and Nguyen Minh Luan, two strong cyclists, missed the lap due to their previous injuries, VUS-HCM’s four remaining teammates tried their best to show off their capabilities, contributing to the team’s third rank with the duration of 1h00’05’’.
The VUS-HCM team kept taking the lead at the group category after 17 stages despite Hat Ngoc Troi An Giang team’s great effort to rank first at the 17th stage with 59’19’’, followed by the Bike Life Dong Nai team.
At the 17th stage in the presence of the tournament’s ambassador Miss Universe Vietnam 2017 H’Hen Nie, sponsor Ton Dong A presented 50 scholarships to the city’s poor students with good academic records.
On April 16, all teams had a day off in Nha Trang city before entering the 18th stage stretching 129km from Nha Trang to Phan Rang city of Ninh Thuan province.
