Two sets of martyrs’ remains found in Chi Lang
PANO - On January 8, Team K93 of the An Giang Provincial Military Command recovered the remains of two fallen soldiers in Tan Long hamlet, Chi Lang ward, An Giang province. The area was identified as a temporary burial site formed in 1979.
During excavation, the remains were found in a severely deteriorated condition, with fragmented bones and several associated artifacts. Since the beginning of the current search operation, Team K93 has recovered a total of 14 sets of fallen soldiers’ remains, including eight within Vietnam and six in Cambodia.

In order to further improve the effectiveness of efforts to search for and recover the remains of fallen soldiers both domestically and abroad, and to meet the wishes of martyrs’ families, Colonel Nguyen Van Xuyen, Head of Team K93, called on veterans, military units, and the public to promptly provide information related to former combat units or burial locations of fallen soldiers to the relevant authorities.
