Team K53 recovers two sets of martyrs’ remains in Laos and Cambodia
PANO - Having been deployed for the mission of searching for and repatriating the remains of Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and advisors who laid down their lives in Laos and Cambodia, Team K53 of the Quang Ngai provincial Military Command has found and collected two sets of martyrs’ remains.
On November 24, the team located and recovered one set of remains in the area of O Zer post in Ta Veng No commune, Ta Veng district, Ratanakiri province, Cambodia.

The recovered soldier has not yet been identified. The remains include bone and teeth fragments with good-quality biological samples suitable for DNA analysis. Items found with the remains included a hammock and military boots.
On December 2, in La Nhao village, Samakkhixay district, Attapeu province, Laos, based on information provided by local residents and further cross-checking during the information-gathering process, Team K53 recovered another set of remains. The martyr has not yet been identified. The remains included bone fragments with good-quality biological samples suitable for DNA testing.
The team also found a hammock and military uniform buttons.
