All 18 martyrs rest in peace at Chu Prong War Cemetery.

From October 6 to 20, based on information provided by local residents, Search and Collection Team K52 under the Gia Lai Provincial Military Command coordinated with Ia Boong commune authorities to contribute 636 workdays to excavate 3,740 meters of trenches and about 1,872 sq.m of soil and rock at six sites in Ga village and Ninh Phuc hamlet of Ia Boong commune.

As a result, at the site of Ksor Tan’s house in Ga village, Team K52 found the remains of 18 martyrs along with many personal belongings, such as a plastic comb, fabric pieces, plastic tubes, metal coins, enamel bowls, toothbrush, and metal belts.

Preliminary assessments by the Gia Lai Provincial Military Command indicated that these were martyrs who fought and sacrificed their lives during the resistance war against the U.S. imperialists between 1960 and 1972. Several biological samples have been handed over to the Military Forensic Institute under the Department of Military Medicine for identification and verification.

At the memorial service, provincial leaders expressed deep gratitude to the martyrs for their heroic sacrifices for national liberation and reunification. They affirmed that the Party committee, authorities, and people of Gia Lai province remain united in following the path chosen by the Party and President Ho Chi Minh, continuing to bring into play revolutionary traditions and build a prosperous homeland.
