Exchanging with historical witnesses

Through exchanges with historical witnesses who directly engaged in the air defense combat, contributing to the resounding “Hanoi - Dien Bien Phu in the air” victory, participants were experiencing heroic days of Northern troops and people in general and of air defense - air troops in particular.

The exchange was a chance to honor and express gratitude to generations of air defense - air troops, especially those who joined the campaign to defense Hanoi. It also helped educate today’s troops to continue to inherit and promote the noble virtues of Uncle Ho’s soldiers, and heroic traditions of the air defense - air troops.

On the occasion, the award ceremony for the knowledge contest of 50 years of “Hanoi - Dien Bien Phu in the air” victory and the writing contest on heroic martyrs of the Hanoi air defense campaign and national sky protection cause was held.

Since their launch, the two contests attracted the participation of more than 30,000 troops, Youth Union members, youths, and people nationwide. The contest spread widely beyond the Air Defense – Air Force Service. According to the organizing panel, there were many high-quality entries with creative and scientific presentations and rich knowledge in history.

The organizers presented 11 A, 20 B, and 29 C prizes to best groups and individuals of the two contests.
