During the program, officers, soldiers and local people joined volleyball matches, a banh chung-making event, a cooking competition themed “Meal in border areas,” and a flower arrangement competition. These interesting activities created a bustling atmosphere in the border area to welcome the lunar New Year - the year of the Snake, bringing joys to all participants.
Attentively, the cooking competition saw many ingredients produced by local troops and people, helping border people feel confident to overcome difficulties, boost production, and develop economy of the border locality.
Also in this program, participating units gave free health check-ups, health consulting, and medicines as well as gifts to 200 impoverished people.
This practical program helped improve local people’s living standards, promote good qualities and traditions of border people, foster the troops-people solidarity, and build more prosperous border locality.

Meanwhile, in Tam Quang commune, Tuong Duong district, Nghe An province, the Tam Quang Border Post under the Nghe An provincial Border Guard Command in collaboration with some benefactors and local Party committee and authorities organized a program under the theme “Border spring warms people’s hearts - Spring of the Snake 2025.”
Under this program, participants took part in a banh chung-making and cooking event to present to students living in a border dormitory, “Zero VND” pavilions, played folk games and joined cultural and artistic exchanges.
Within the event, the organizers presented 107 gifts to local reputable people, policy beneficiary families and disadvantaged households; and 300 warm clothes to students in Tung Huong and Tan Huong villages. They also handed over a gratitude house, provided free health examination and medicines to more than 100 people.
This annual program of Tam Quang Border Post aims to bring a cozy Tet to local compatriots.
