The activity was part of the 10th Vietnam - China Border Defense Friendship Exchange, held in Vietnam’s Quang Ninh province and China’s Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.

The program aims to support students under the “Paving the way to school for children – Border posts’ foster children” and other disadvantaged students, while assisting struggling households in developing livelihoods. It also helps strengthen military–civilian ties and contributes to building a border of peace, friendship cooperation, and development.

Senior Colonel Ca Van Lao, Deputy Political Chief of the Vietnam Border Guard Command, said that such community-focused activities have become a regular initiative of the Ministry of National Defense, reflecting the care and responsibility of the armed forces toward border localities and encouraging families to overcome difficulties.

Representing the recipients, student Hoang Bao Tram said the scholarships are not only material support, but also a source of motivation, inspiring students to strive in their studies and live up to the trust placed in them.
