10th Vietnam - China Border Defense Friendship Exchange
Scholarships and breeding cows presented to those in border localities
PANO - The Vietnam Border Guard Command, in coordination with local authorities, awarded 100 scholarships to students and distributed 50 breeding cows to disadvantaged households in border areas at a ceremony held on March 16 at the Vietnam - China Friendship Cultural House in Hoanh Mo commune, Quang Ninh province.
Major General Vu Quoc An, Deputy Political Commissar of the Border Guard Command, attended and handed over the support.

The activity was part of the 10th Vietnam - China Border Defense Friendship Exchange, held in Vietnam’s Quang Ninh province and China’s Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.
The program aims to support students under the “Paving the way to school for children – Border posts’ foster children” and other disadvantaged students, while assisting struggling households in developing livelihoods. It also helps strengthen military–civilian ties and contributes to building a border of peace, friendship cooperation, and development.

Senior Colonel Ca Van Lao, Deputy Political Chief of the Vietnam Border Guard Command, said that such community-focused activities have become a regular initiative of the Ministry of National Defense, reflecting the care and responsibility of the armed forces toward border localities and encouraging families to overcome difficulties.
Representing the recipients, student Hoang Bao Tram said the scholarships are not only material support, but also a source of motivation, inspiring students to strive in their studies and live up to the trust placed in them.
