Senior Colonel Ha Huy Truong, Deputy Political Commissar of the Can Tho municipal Border Guard Command, visits and presents gifts to monks at Kos Tung pagoda (Cu Lao Dung commune, Can Tho city).

Leaders of the Can Tho municipal Border Guard Command highly valued the contributions of Khmer pagodas, monks, and reputable individuals in disseminating information on and mobilizing people to comply with the Party’s guidelines and the State’s laws. They also commended their participation in socio-economic development and the preservation of the national cultural identity. Particularly in managing and safeguarding coastal border sovereignty and security, Khmer people and monks have actively coordinated, provided information, and mobilized the public to raise their sense of responsibility in protecting the national territorial integrity.

This meaningful program reflected the local border guard force’s care and close ties with the Khmer people, contributing to consolidating military-civilian solidarity and strengthening people’s trust in the Party, the State, and the border guard force. This also served as a source of encouragement for Khmer people to continue promoting the spirit of leading a “good secular and religious life.” They are urged to actively participate in the movement “All people participate in safeguarding national territorial integrity and border security in the new situation,” accompanying the locality in building strong coastal border areas.
