Border Post of Binh Hiep International Border Gate presenting the scholarship to Cambodian student

Attending the new school year opening ceremony of Th'may Secondary School in Th'may commune, Kong Pong Ro district of Cambodia’s Svay Rieng province, the commanding officer of the Border Post of Binh Hiep International Border Gate wished the school’s teachers and students to reap more success in this year.

On the occasion, the Border Post of Binh Hiep International Border Gate presented two scholarships, worth VND 6 million each, to two children within a program to support students to continue their education. 

According to Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Van Nam, Political Officer of the Border Post of Binh Hiep International Border Gate, the “Supporting children to go to school” program has brought about practical results, helping many students in border areas continue their education.

He said that in the coming time the unit will continue cooperating with locality where it is stationed to help needy students overcome difficulties and obtain achievements in their study. 

Since its first launch seven years ago, the program has presented 42 scholarships to Vietnamese and Cambodian students. The fund for the program has been donated by the unit’s troops.
