Nghe An provincial Military Command presents national flags and gifts to fishermen
PANO - The Youth Union chapter of the Nghe An provincial Military Command, in coordination with Youth Union organizations of its affiliates organized the "I love my Fatherland" program and presented national flags and gifts to fishermen in Quynh Phuong ward, Hoang Mai town, Nghe An province on March 25.
The event was a practical activity to mark the 94th founding anniversary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (March 26, 1931 - 2025) and the 50th anniversary of the South Liberation and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - 2025).
At the ceremony, 4,000 national flags and 35 gift packages, worth VND 500,000 each, were presented to policy families and disadvantaged fishermen. Nearly 300 fishermen in Hoang Mai town had their health checked and were presented with free medicines.
Since mid-2016, through the “I love my Fatherland” program, more than 51,000 national flags and over 810 gifts, worth more than VND 2 billion in total, have been presented to Nghe An fishermen in districts of Quynh Luu, Dien Chau, Nghi Loc and Vinh city, contributing to strengthening the relationship between military forces, political-social organizations, individuals, and the local fishing community. The gifts have served as a source of encouragement for fishermen to keep fishing in Vietnam’s waters.
Through material and spiritual support, the program has motivated Nghe An fishermen to join socio-economic development in connection with defense and security consolidation mission.
