While fishing 5 nautical miles Northeast of Sinh Ton Dong Island, three fishermen dove to a depth of 14 meters to catch fish. Upon resurfacing, they experienced fatigue, dizziness, and had ear, chest, abdominal, and leg pain. Despite being cared for by the crew-members, their conditions did not improve.

At 4:40 a.m. the same day, fishing boat BTh 97759 TS transported the three fishermen to the medical station on Sinh Ton Dong Island. Military doctors immediately provided emergency care, including oxygen therapy, intravenous fluids, and pain relief medication. The patients' conditions have since stabilized, and they are under close monitoring.

* Earlier, at 11:00 p.m. on September 26, the medical station on Song Tu Tay (Southwest Cay) Island of the Truong Sa Archipelago, also part of Brigade 146, received fisherman Nguyen Duc Quoc (27 years old) from Tam Quan Ward, Hoai Nhon Town, Binh Dinh Province. He was working aboard fishing boat BD 96677 TS, captained by Tran Huu Nghi (30 years old), a fellow local.
