More gifts sent to national contributors
PANO - Pham Minh Chinh, Politburo member, Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) Central Committee and head of the CPV Central Committee’s Organization Commission, on February 1 attended a ceremony to farewell workers returning home for lunar New Year festival at the Vietnam – Japan Labour Culture Palace in Ha Long City, Quang Ninh Province.
Addressing the event, Chinh extended Tet greetings to workers and officials of the Vietnam National Coal and Mineral Industries Group (Vinacomin) in general and the Hon Gai Coal Company in particular. He also highly praised the great contribution of the Vinacomin to the socio-economic development of the province and the country, and their good care for its workers during the lunar New Year 2019. Accordingly, the corporation's total budget to support workers during this year's Tet was over VND 15 billion.

* Agencies and units under Army Corps 3 launched an emulation movement; arranged 150 places to welcome the Giao Thua (Lunar New Year Eve), 150 entertainment areas, with a total budget of more than VND 1.3 billion; supported troops enjoy Tet festival; ensured traffic order and safety and combat readiness missions. Besides, leaders of the corps and relevant agencies also visited and presented more than 7,700 gifts to Vietnamese heroic mothers, war invalids, national contributors and policy families in the locality.
* Along with the careful preparation for troops to enjoy warm Tet holiday, agencies and units under the Military Region 5 Command presented 700 Tet gifts, worth VND 500,000, to needy people and national contributors in the area. In addition, the units also organized many meaningful activities to help needy people have a cozy Tet.
* The Quang Ninh Provincial Military Command visited and presented Tet gifts, worth nearly VND 1 billion, to more than 600 poor households, national contributors, and needy children.
* The authorities of Ca Mau province spent nearly VND 26 billion on Tet gifts for families and relatives of national contributors, poor people, and soldiers who are on duty in remote, border areas and on islands.
