Militiamen and troops join firefighting efforts
PANO - At around 6 a.m. on August 26, a large forest fire broke out in the area of Am Mountain, Tien Phong hamlet, Thanh Trach commune, Bo Trach district, Quang Binh province. Upon receiving the news, local authorities mobilized various forces to join firefighting efforts.
Colonel Truong The Vi, Commanding Officer of the Military Command of Bo Trach district, said that the unit had mobilized eight militia platoons from the communes of Thanh Trach, Bac Trach, My Trach, Ha Trach, Hai Phu, Duc Trach, Dong Trach, and Son Loc to collaborate with forces from the Quang Binh provincial Border Guard Command and Public Security Department, forest rangers, agencies and organizations, and local residents to participate in the firefighting mission.
Additionally, numerous mechanical vehicles were brought to the scene to control the blaze.

Due to the fire extending over an area of more than 10 hectares, complicated terrains, strong winds, and hot weather conditions, the involved forces faced many challenges in accessing the area and extinguishing the fire. Fortunately, by 8 p.m. on the same day, the participating forces had successfully controlled the fire.
