Troops extinguish the forest fire.

At about 9:30 on July 12, a blaze broke out in the pine forest in Phu Loc village, Thuong Tan Loc commune, Nam Dan district, Nghe An province. Due to dry weather and strong winds, the blaze spread quickly.

Upon receiving the information, hundreds of troops from Engineering Brigade 414, the Nghe An provincial Military Command, the Nam Dan district special-use forest management board, forest rangers, public security forces, and vehicles rushed to the scene. The troops closely cooperated with local forces and people to put out the fire.

On the evening of July 12, the forest catches fire again. The situation goes out of control.

At 17:00 on the same day, the fire was put under control. However, due to the prolonged hot weather, the fire broke out again.

It was estimated that nearly 20 hectares of the pine forest in Phu Loc commune was burned down.
