Phu Loc Border Post has over the years pro-actively developed and implemented dissemination plans spreading the purpose and the meaning of these programs and models to cadres, soldiers and local people.

To promptly concretize these high-level directives, the unit collaboratively conducted surveys and selected children in difficult circumstances, particularly orphans or children of policy families, local reputable people, individuals actively involved in border protection, as well as disadvantaged households, to take care of.

For nearly 10 years, the programs have significantly bolstered the children’s confidence and empowered them to overcome adversity. It was highly praised by the local authorities and community, contributing to strengthening military-civilian solidarity and easing parts of the challenges in child care and protection in local areas. Furthermore, the programs have consolidated trust and fostered closer bonds between the unit’s officers, soldiers and locals, thereby promoting collaboration in firmly safeguarding the national sovereignty, border security at sea and on islands.

On the occasion of the upcoming 2025-2026 academic year, Phu Loc Border Post, in coordination with Thanh Khe Ward’s chapter of the Women’s Union and sponsors, provided financial support totaling VNA 27 million to eight children under the “Paving the way to school for children – Adopted children of border posts” program and six children under the “Adoptive Mothers – Fulfilling Dreams” program.
* The same day, in Binh Chau commune, Ho Chi Minh City, a delegation from Flotilla 129 under the Vietnam People’s Navy, led by Captain Le Xuan Tam, Deputy Political Commissar of Flotilla 129, visited and presented gifts to Pham Thi Uyen, daughter of a disadvantaged fishing household, ahead of the upcoming 2025-2026 academic year.

At the gift-giving event, the delegation’s representative inquired after the family and encouraged Uyen’s family to overcome difficulties, strive in life, and motivated her to diligently study for a brighter future. On this occasion, Flotilla 129 handed over VND 6 million and gifts to Uyen and her family.
Captain Le Xuan Tam stated that the program “Naval troops sponsor children of fishermen” program, launched by the Naval Service, aims to mobilize resources from all units and agencies to assist children from disadvantaged fishing families, enabling them to continue their schooling. He emphasized that the activity not only offers financial aid, but also carries profound humanitarian significance, actively encouraging fishermen to resiliently maintain their presence at sea, thus contributing to the protection of national sovereignty over sea and islands.
Since 2023, Flotilla 129 has sponsored and provided a total of VND 24 million in support to Pham Thi Uyen.
