She is always ready to share and support them in overcoming difficulties in life.
Ho Thi Nhuan, a child from Trung Son Commune, A Luoi District, considers the women of the Military Command’s Women’s Union as her second mothers. Orphaned of her mother, with an ill and unemployed father, Nhuan faced many challenges. In 2018, when she was in grade 3, she considered quitting school to help her family. Understanding her situation, the Women’s Union decided to provide her with a monthly allowance of VND 500,000 to support her education.

For nearly eight years, Major Ly and her comrades have regularly visited, encouraged, and brought clothes, books, beds, and desks to Nhuan, enabling her to become an excellent student. Nhuan said the women treat her like their own child—caring for every detail and motivating her to study.
Similarly, Ho Thi Bao Ngoc from Huong Toan Commune, Huong Tra Town, lost her father at an early age and has been sponsored by the Women’s Union since 2021. Her single mother struggles to raise three children. The union’s members treat Ngoc like their own daughter, providing both material support and encouragement to help her study in better conditions.
Ngoc’s mother, Nguyen Thi Dieu Phuong, expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Women’s Union and especially to Major Ly, who cares for Ngoc like a true parent.

Despite her busy work schedule, Major Ly and the Women’s Union members organize meaningful activities to help orphaned children access education and feel loved and supported.
Major Ly shared that as a Women’s Union officer and a mother, she deeply empathizes with orphaned children. During holidays such as the Mid-Autumn Festival and International Children’s Day, the union always visits and presents gifts to orphans and children affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. For those under their care, they offer guidance and encouragement to help the children overcome hardship and grow into good citizens.
Thanks to her dedication, Major Ly has contributed significantly to strengthening the Military Command’s Women’s Union in Hue City. In 2024, the union received certificates of merit and an emulation flag from the Hue City Women’s Union and Military Region 4, respectively. Meanwhile, Major Ly was honored with the title “Excellent Women’s Union Officer” by Military Region 4.
