Troubled fishermen rescued at sea
PANO - On April 15, according to Senior Colonel Tran Tien Hien, Commanding Officer of the Da Nang city Border Guard Command, the rescue force of Naval Squadron No.1 promptly and safely rescued two crew-members from fishing trawler DNa 91009 TS after it sank at sea.
Earlier, at 13:25 on the same day, Naval Squadron No.1 received a mayday signal from Tran Quoc Dat (aged 32 from Quang Ngai province), captain of the trawler, stating that the trawler had sunk while operating about four nautical miles off the coast of Thang Truong commune, Da Nang city.

Initial reports indicated that the incident was caused by water ingress. The two crew-members on board managed to move onto basket boats to ensure their safety.
After receiving the information, the Da Nang city Border Guard Command sent Ship BP 08-1503 along with officers and soldiers to the scene to conduct search and rescue operations. In the same afternoon, the rescue forces reached the location, successfully rescued the two fishermen, and brought them safely ashore.
