While fishing in the waters of Truong Sa, the fisherman was injured when a lionfish stung his right foot. Doctors diagnosed him with a sting from a venomous marine animal and performed blood tests, administered pain relief and allergen. Now he is in stable health condition.

On the same day, troops on Truong Sa Island guided and assisted over 100 fishing vessels and more than 800 fishermen from the Central provinces in avoiding rough sea and ensuring safety. The Chain-of-Command of Truong Sa Island and border guard force visited and encouraged fishermen to continue fishing activities confidently by giving them over 200 national flags, more than 300 leaflets, and other essential supplies.
* Also on March 10, DK1/10 platform under DK1 Battalion, Naval Region 2 Command successfully gave emergency aid to a fisherman injured while fishing at sea.

Earlier the same day, the platform received an SOS signal from fishing vessel BTr 92897 TS. Fisherman Dang Quang Nhi, aged 27, was injured when a crane hook hit on his head while fishing in the waters of Ca Mau.
The unit’s medical team provided the distressed with emergency treatment. They cleaned the 6cm long and 1.5cm deep wound, applied anesthesia, stitched, administered antibiotics and dressed the wound. Thanks to the prompt care of the medical personnel, the fisherman regained consciousness, interacted well, and gradually stabilized recovered.
With stable health condition, the fisherman will soon return to the trawler.
