GS delegation pays tribute to heroic martyrs in Nghe An
PANO - The delegation from the General Staff, led by its deputy chief Lt. Gen. Pham Truong Son, on July 16 offered flowers and incense at Truong Bon National Historical Relic Site in Bach Ha commune, Nghe An province, as part of their ongoing gratitude activities in Central localities.
Truong Bon is a “red address,” a shining symbol of revolutionary heroism. This place witnessed heroic sacrifices of 1,240 martyrs, including 13 youth volunteers from Company 317. Truong Bon National Historical Relic Site is not only a place of remembrance and gratitude but also a venue to educate younger generations about patriotism.

In the solemn and emotional atmosphere, Gen. Son and the delegation expressed their deepest respect and boundless gratitude for the heroic sacrifices of the martyrs who devoted their lives to the national liberation and reunification cause. They pledged to continue striving with unity and determination to build a stronger, more prosperous, and civilized nation.

In the guestbook at the relic site, Gen. Son wrote with heartfelt emotion, expressing the GS’s staff’s deepest respect and gratitude to the heroic martyrs for their great contributions. He emphasized the GS’s officers and soldiers’ absolute loyalty to the Party, the Fatherland, and the people and determination to build a revolutionary, standardized, elite, and modernized Vietnam People’s Army, to constantly improve synergy, combat strength, and heighten revolutionary vigilance, as well as stay ready to fight and win, firmly safeguarding the socialist Fatherland.

The same day, the delegation commemorated more than 11,000 heroic martyrs of Military Region 4’s Division 324 at the Monument dedicated to them. They expressed profound gratitude for the great sacrifices made by the martyrs for national liberation and reunification.

These incense-offering and memorial activities were not only a deep expression of gratitude toward the older generations but also help foster patriotism, revolutionary spirit, and national pride among all officers and soldiers in the whole military.
