Ship of Brigade 955 safely took distressed fisherman ashore
PANO - On July 15 in Khanh Hoa province, Ship 950 of Flotilla 411, Brigade 955 under Naval Region 4 safely docked, completing its mission of transporting an ill fisherman from Phan Vinh A Island (Pearson Reef) in the Truong Sa (Spratly) Islands to the mainland for medical care.

At 9 a.m. on July 11, while performing a regular duty, Ship 950 received an urgent order and promptly maneuvered to Phan Vinh A Island to receive fisherman Do Minh Vuong (42 years old, from Tan Hai commune, Da Nang city), a crew-member of fishing boat QNa 91996TS, and bring him ashore for treatment.
Earlier, on July 4, while working at sea, Do Minh Vuong developed symptoms of acute urinary retention of unknown cause and rectal mucosal prolapse. He was transferred to Phan Vinh A Island for initial treatment.
Immediately upon docking, Senior Captain Do Van Son, Political Commissar of Brigade 955, visited and encouraged the patient and chaired the handover ceremony to his family.
