Truong Sa Island’s infirmary provides emergency treatment for Phu Yen fisherman
PANO - On November 18, the infirmary on Truong Sa (Spratly) Island, Brigade 146, Naval Region 4, received and treated a fisherman from Phu Yen Province.
At around 10:00 a.m. on November 16, while fishing at sea, 32 nautical miles off the South of Truong Sa Island (Truong Sa District, Khanh Hoa Province), fisherman Tran Hoai Sang, aged 37, from Ward 6, Tuy Hoa City, Phu Yen Province, experienced fatigue, coughing, and shortness of breath.

Despite self-medicating, his condition did not improve. He was brought to the infirmary on Truong Sa Island by fishing vessel PY 90036 TS, captained by Mai Ngoc Hieu, 38, a fellow local, at 7:30 a.m. on November 18.
Sang was diagnosed with viral fever, a widespread rash, and full-body allergic reactions. He received treatment involving blood tests, fever management, fluid-electrolyte replenishment, and preventive antibiotics. His health is now stable.
