Military doctor brings happiness to families
PANO - As a young face in the field of embryology, Captain Nguyen Ngoc Nhat, a specialist doctor 1, a resident doctor at Military Institute of Clinical Embryology and Histology of Military Medical University, has made impressive achievements in scientific research, teaching, and treating infertility patients.
In 2020, after graduating from the Military Medical University with honors, Nguyen Ngoc Nhat continued to pass the entrance exam as the valedictorian for the resident doctor program and "fell in love" with the field of embryology. The academic environment at the Military Medical University served as a foundation for him to develop his knowledge and creativity.

According to doctor Nhat, embryology is a modern medical field that is bringing the joy of having children to millions of couples around the world. “I am fortunate to work alongside instructors and colleagues in this field. It is the dedicated guidance from the instructors at the Military Medical University that has helped me achieve the results I have today,” the young doctor said.
In education and training activities, Captain Nhat has applied an active teaching program to convey knowledge, helping students to deeply understand and effectively apply human histology knowledge. In the 2023-2024 academic year, he supervised a group of students working on the project “Evaluation of sperm count, motility, and morphology in infertile men with Y chromosome microdeletions.” This project was awarded first place by the Scientific and Technological Award Council for students at tertiary education institutions.
Along with teaching, doctor Nhat dedicates time to scientific research. He is the author and co-author of three papers published in prestigious international journals indexed in ISI/Scopus. These papers focus on many urgent issues in the field of assisted reproduction. Additionally, the young doctor has 15 publications in reputable medical journals in Vietnam. He is an active member of various scientific and professional councils and frequently participates in conferences both in Vietnam and abroad.
With continuous clinical experience, Nhat has examined and treated thousands of patients. He pro-actively updates new treatment protocols and techniques to improve the effectiveness of treatments for many challenging cases, such as repeated implantation failure, cesarean scar defect with fluid retention, and endometriosis.
He said, “I am happy seeing couples’ happiness of becoming parents. The sincere thanks from patients motivate me to strive harder in my professional tasks and remain determined to bring happiness to many families.” The achievements, along with numerous awards, certificates, and recognition from various levels, serve as a testament to his relentless efforts over the years.
