Throughout the holy month, Muslims devote time to deep reflection and prayer. They fast from sunrise to sunset, abstaining from food and drink while focusing on good deeds and strengthening their faith.

Ramadan is also a time for community solidarity and togetherness in Indonesia. Families and neighbors gather for special prayers known as Taraweeh and share meals.

In preparation for the holy month, Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto directed the ministries of food coordination, trade, and agriculture, as well as other relevant agencies to ensure the availability of essential food supplies and prevent speculative price hikes. Efforts are underway to stabilize food prices throughout Ramadan.

When Ramadan ends, Indonesia embraces a time of most anticipated Islamic festivals of the year.
