* On March 2, within the framework of the Whole-People’s Border Guard Day program in Can Gio district, Ho Chi Minh City, the municipal chapter of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee presented nearly VND 750 million to the municipal Border Guard Command to build Truong Sa marker, border markers, and the reverse side of a bas-relief in the Ho Chi Minh cultural space of the municipal Border Guard force at Naval Squadron 2.

Additionally, funding for repairing eight houses and supporting livelihoods of disadvantaged households, border guard troops, 51 scholarships for students under the “Paving the way to school for students” program, and 38 gifts for self-management teams were also handed over to recipients in Can Tho district.
* During the Whole-People’s Border Guard Day held by the Kon Tum provincial Border Guard Command in Dak Long commune, Dak Glei district, the command and district’s leaders presented certificates of merit to collectives and individuals for their outstanding attainments in 10 year-implementation of the movement in which the entire people join hands in defending territorial sovereignty, national border security in the new situation in the 2015-2025 period.

The organizers also handed over funds to build four great unity houses, three breeding cows, 70 gifts to poor households, 10 scholarships to students rising in life and support to eight students under the program “Paving the way to school for students – Adopted children of border posts.”
* Together with adopting two needy students, My Ly Border Post under the Nghe An provincial Border Guard Command teamed up with the Party committees and authorities of My Ly and Bac Ly communes in Ky Son district to host the Whole-People’s Border Guard Day with numerous typical artistic programs to entertain locals. Meanwhile, the Border Post of Thanh Thuy Border Gate and the Youth Union Organization of Thanh Chuong district held a flag-saluting ceremony at border sovereignty marker and cleaned local environment.
* Border posts under the Thanh Hoa provincial Border Guard Command and border localities presented over 500 gifts to local people, and 180 merit certificates to outstanding individuals in safeguarding territorial sovereignty and national border security, directly protecting border markers and upholding order and security in border areas.

* On March 2, Lai Hoa Border Post under the Soc Trang provincial Border Guard Command and local Party committee and authorities handed over two great unity houses, 10 gifts to families facing extremely hard living conditions, 15 bikes and eights scholarships to needy students. The post also organized cultural and sport exchanges, folk games to boost troops-people ties.
The provincial Border Guard Command and the people’s committees of Vinh Chau township and Vinh Tan commune presented merit certificates to 20 outstanding groups and individuals with good observance of the Whole-People’s Border Guard Day.
