PANO - The Youth Union Organization of Brigade 144 under the General Staff held a “Banh chung (square glutinous rice cake) making” competition on January 24 for its troops, as part of the activities to welcome the Year of Snake.

This annual event aimed to honor the beautiful traditions and customs of Vietnam on the lunar New Year; raise troops’ skills to work in team; strengthen the unity between officers, soldiers, and youth union members. The contest also showcases the importance of maintaining national cultural values among the soldiers.
