The event created a joyful and vibrant atmosphere with lion dances, musical performances, folk games, storytelling about Hang Nga (the moon lady) and Chu Cuoi (the moon boy), and the traditional mooncake feast. Through these activities, the children not only enjoyed the festive spirit but also learned more about the meaning of the Mid-Autumn Festival and humanistic values.

On this occasion, Regiment 726 held a celebration for the children of its officers, staff, and workers, and presented financial support, worth nearly VND 20 million, to Bu Dar hamlet. Colonel Do Van Trang, Secretary of the Party Committee and Political Commissar of Regiment 726, emphasized that the program brought joy to children and reflected the care and companionship of the Party Committee and the unit’s leadership for the country’s future generations. This annual activity encourages children, especially those from ethnic minority families, to study hard and achieve good results.

In recent years, the regiment has coordinated with local authorities to care for the material and spiritual lives of residents, particularly ethnic minority children in the area and children of officers and employees. Through the project “Military Officers and soldiers paving the way to school for children,” the unit currently supports 32 ethnic minority students with difficult circumstances.

The same day, in Song Doc town, Song Doc Border Post under the Ca Mau Provincial Border Guard Command, in coordination with local authorities, organized the program “Border Full-moon Festival” for children in the area. Hundreds of children took part in performances, folk games, and storytelling about the festival’s legends.

Colonel Nguyen Chi Nguyen, Deputy Head of the Political Department of the Ca Mau Provincial Border Guard, said the program showed the care of the provincial border guard force for local residents, especially poor children in coastal border areas, while strengthening the bond between soldiers and civilians. Earlier, border guard posts in Ca Mau Province also held similar activities, presenting more than 3,000 Mid-Autumn gifts, worth over VND 500 million to disadvantaged students, bringing them a warm and meaningful festival season.
