On October 5, Defense-Economic Unit 778 under Military Region 7, in coordination with the People’s Committee of Phu Nghia commune, Dong Nai Province and several organizations, held a “Mid-Autumn Festival” for more than 400 local students.

The program reflected the care and sharing spirit of officers, soldiers, and local authorities in supporting children’s education and protection.

On this occasion, over 300 gift sets were presented to children from ethnic minority families and those in difficult circumstances living in border areas of Dong Nai Province.

The students also enjoyed various festive activities such as lion dancing, lantern parades, mooncake feasts, musical exchanges, and traditional folk games.

* On October 4 and 5, units under Division 5 of Military Region 7 simultaneously hosted the “Mid-Autumn Festival” program for children of their officers and soldiers.

The events took place in a joyful, cozy atmosphere, featuring traditional performances and several creative activities such as a recycled-material fashion show, collective folk games, and a drawing contest.

On this occasion, the organizing panel presented more than 1,000 gifts to children, including many for those with special or difficult circumstances.

At the Mid-Autumn Festival program held for children in Ca Mau Province

* In Ca Mau Province, Border Guard Flotilla 2 under the Provincial Border Guard Command, coordinated with the Hiep Thanh ward’s Youth Union Chapter to hold a Mid-Autumn Festival program for disadvantaged children on October 5.

The event took place at the province’s Social Protection Center and Tran Quoc Toan Primary School, where 200 gift sets, worth VND 200,000 each, including confectionery, lanterns, and cash, were distributed, with total funding of VND 40 million.

The activity reflected the humanitarian spirit and social responsibility of border guard officers and soldiers, spreading compassion within the community and motivating children to study and strive harder.

Gifts presented to children in Thu Lum Commune, Lai Chau Province

* Meanwhile, in Lai Chau Province, on October 4 and 5, a delegation led by Senior Colonel Dang Vinh Thuy, Commanding Officer of the Lai Chau Provincial Military Command, visited and presented Mid-Autumn gifts to students in Mu Ca, Thu Lum, Pa U, and Ta Tong communes.

The delegation extended warm greetings, encouraged the children to achieve good academic results, and expressed hope that local authorities and families would continue to support their development.

The visits created a joyful and compassionate atmosphere, ensuring all children, especially those in remote and disadvantaged areas, could enjoy a cozy Mid-Autumn Festival.

In recent times, the Lai Chau Provincial Military Command has directed its agencies and units to pro-actively visit, support, and present gifts to disadvantaged children affected by storms and natural disasters in their stationed areas.
