At the event, personnel from the post and the Tuyen Quang Provincial Border Guard Command, together with local residents planted hundreds of cunninghamia lanceolata trees along the border.

As planned, 8,500 trees will be planted during this program.

According to Lieutenant Colonel Kim Xuan Giang, Head of Lung Cu Border Post, after the merger, Lung Cu commune has a shared border of 30.998km with China and holds an important position in defense, security and territorial sovereignty.

Building a “green border belt” not only helps protect the ecological environment, but also creates a green, clean and beautiful border landscape and raises public awareness and responsibility in border and border markers management and protection.
