Lung Cu Flag Tower holds a strategically important position and is often referred to as the "roof of Vietnam," with its 54 sq.m. giant flag symbolizing the 54 ethnic groups of the country.

In a solemn atmosphere, Mr. Nguyen Trong Nghia and the delegates performed a sacred flag-raising ceremony. During the ceremony, they pledged to continue to fulfill the tasks entrusted by the Party and the State, always acknowledging and appreciating the significant contribution of previous generations who sacrificed for the nation's independence.

On the occasion, Mr. Nguyen Trong Nghia presented gifts to the officers and soldiers of Lung Cu Border Post. He praised their efforts in overcoming difficulties and commended achievements of the border post in recent years.

He emphasized that Lung Cu Border Post is entrusted by the Party, the State, the military, and Ha Giang province with the mission of safeguarding and preserving Lung Cu Flag Tower. He hoped that every officer and soldier would continue to uphold their sense of responsibility, handle any emerging situations, maintain political stability, and ensure social order and safety in the border area. They should also collaborate with local authorities in expanding economic development models, eradicating poverty, and improving the material and spiritual well-being of ethnic minority communities.

Mr. Nguyen Trong Nghia also urged the officers and soldiers to continuously enhance their professionalism, excel in their assigned tasks, and ensure security and order along the borderline while preserving national sovereignty and territorial integrity.

The head of the CPV Central Committee's Commission for Information and Education also visited and presented gifts to the adopted children of Lung Cu Border Post.

During the visit, he also offered gifts to Mrs. Thao Thi My, a 70-year-old needy H'mong ethnic woman living in Lo Lo Chai village, Lung Tao commune, Dong Van district. Mr. Nguyen Trong Nghia wished her good health and hoped that her family would continue to follow the Party’s guidelines and the State’s policies, contributing to the political stability and social safety in the border area.
