Localities organize Whole People’s Border Guard Day

The event included a series of activities, such as offering incense at war cemeteries, providing free medicines for local people, playing folk games, inaugurating and handing over “Light in border areas” project to Ngoai Hai residential group.

On the occasion, Senior Colonel Trinh Thanh Binh, Commanding Officer of the Quang Binh provincial Border Guard Command, presented the “For national sovereignty and border security” insignia to four individuals for their contribution to the national border management, sovereignty protection, border security and border guard force building.

In addition, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Quang Binh province handed over a great solidarity house and 40 gifts to needy households while the provincial Border Guard Command gave three sets of computers and printers to the Quang Tho ward People’s Committee; and granted five scholarships to students under the “Paving ways for children to go to school – Adopted children of border posts” program.
