During the program, Regiment 39 distributed 70 packages of fresh vegetables grown by the unit to local residents and provided haircuts free of charge for 40 people.

Although modest in material value, the fresh vegetables and neatly trimmed haircuts reflected the care and commitment of the regiment's officers and soldiers toward the local community.

Beyond providing practical assistance, the program also created an opportunity for interaction between military personnel and residents. Officers and soldiers shared breakfast with local people, exchanged views, and learned about their concerns, aspirations, and difficulties so that they could work together to address them.

Lieutenant Colonel Ly Minh Van, Political Commissar of Regiment 39, said, “Although these activities are small in scale, they have practical significance and reflect the affection, responsibility, and close ties between the regiment's officers and soldiers and the people. Through these community-oriented activities, we hope to help ease local residents' difficulties, promote mutual support and compassion, and further strengthen military-civilian solidarity on Con Dao Island.”

On this occasion, the special zone's Red Cross Society also presented 20 gift packages to disadvantaged families to encourage them in their daily lives.
