* Earlier, on February 24, the People’s Committee of Phu Dong commune, Tan Phu Dong district, Tien Giang province, in collaboration with Phu Tan Border Guard Post under the provincial Border Guard Command hosted the whole people’s border guard festival in 2023.
During the event, delegates recalled the traditions of the 64 years from the foundation day of the border guard force and the 34 years of the whole people’s border guard festival, and reviewed the implementation of the whole people’s border guard day.

Presenting gifts to needy households in Nghia An commune, Quang Ngai province |
On the occasion, the Tien Giang provincial Border Guard Command and Phu Dong commune People’s Committee handed over certificates of merit to three outstanding collectives and nine individuals.
* On the same day, in Nghia An commune, Quang Ngai city, Quang Ngai province, the border guard station at Sa Ky Port (Quang Ngai Border Guard Command) and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Quang Ngai city and the People’s Committee of Nghia An commune held the whole people’s border guard day in 2023.
At the event, 20 gifts, worth totally VND 10 million, were presented to needy and policy households and impoverished children in communes of Nghia An, Nghia Phu, Tinh Ky and Tinh Khe.
* The People’s Committee of Quang Cong commune, Quang Dien district, Thua Thien Hue province, on February 25, organized the whole people’s border guard day in 2023. Quang Cong is a coastal commune of Quang Dien district, having nine villages with 1,801 households.
During the event, the Thua Thien Hue provincial Border Guard Command and local authorities presented certificates of merit to three collectives and seven individuals who had made achievements in the cause of protecting national sovereignty and ensuring security along the borderline in the current context.

Handing over gifts to needy students |
In the framework of the festival, the units offered VND 40 million to Mrs. Nguyen Thi Do’s family, and handed over 1,000 national flags, and other gifts to the locals.
As scheduled, the festival will be held at 22 communes and towns along the Thua Thien Hue borderline from February 25 to March 3 with many practical activities.
* A similar festival was also held in Pa Tan commune, Sin Ho district, Lai Chau province to mark the 64th anniversary of the foundation day of the border guard force and the 34th anniversary of the whole people’s border guard festival.
