Over the past time, the commune has teamed up with Thanh Tri Border Post to enhance information dissemination to raise border people’s awareness of the significance of the Whole People’s Border Guard Day, the Law on National Border, the Vietnam Border Guard Law, and decrees and treaties related to borders, to name but a few.

Handing over 20 "Great unity" houses to border districts and towns

In 2023, border troops coordinated with local forces to conduct patrols along the border to ensure security and order, and manage and protect national border. Meanwhile, Thanh Tri Border Post gave timely recommendations to higher levels; actively engaged in activities to promote socio-economic development; presented gifts to 250 people; granted two scholarships under the “Paving the way to school for children” program; and worked with other forces to carry out social work, among others.

Also, units in the locality effectively implemented external work on both sides of the Vietnam - Cambodia shared borderline. Last year, the units organized four talks, 18 meetings to exchange situations with the Cambodian government and border protection force, and visited and offered gifts on the Cambodian traditional New Year festival.

Presenting gifts to needy and policy households

On the occasion, the organizing panel handed over certificates of merits to individuals for their outstanding achievements in implementing the contents of the Whole People’s Border Guard Day in 2023, as well as gave gifts to 50 policy beneficiaries, and needy households in the locality.

The province’s Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee presented 20 great solidarity houses to districts and towns in border areas, etc.
