Under the theme “Proud to be soldiers,” 110 participating students will spend nine days immersed in a military environment, learning about the traditions of the military, their homeland, and the nation.

The Youth Union Organization of Kien Giang province and the provincial Military Command launch of the first 2025 “Military Semester” program.

Throughout the program, students will be trained in social and life skills through a variety of military activities, including experiencing life in the barracks of Battalion 207, Regiment 893, under the Kien Giang provincial Military Command. They will take part in lessons on military conduct and discipline modeled after “Uncle Ho’s soldiers,” and attend educational sessions on patriotism and family values. Additional activities include outdoor marching drills and campfire events.

The program is designed to equip young people with basic military knowledge, instill a sense of civic responsibility in contributing to national development and defense, enhance physical fitness and solidarity, and build essential life skills for independence.

Following the launch ceremony, the participating students visited and offered incense at the Monument of National Hero Nguyen Trung Truc before heading to Battalion 207 to officially begin the program.

The program welcomed 123 students and teenagers aged 9 to 17 from across Binh Phuoc province. Over the course of one week at Regiment 736, under the Binh Phuoc provincial Military Command, participants will undergo training and experience military life, including drill exercises, morning fitness routines, personal hygiene and belongings management, learning about local historical traditions, cooking, participating in history quizzes, and engaging in group activities.

This program promotes youth development through structured learning and training, building discipline and self-reliance. It also offers meaningful summer experiences for students.
