Locals having their health checked

During the program, military doctors together  with physicians from the three medical units examined, provided health consultations, and distributed free medicines to more than 500 people in the area. Notably, the health workers were reinforced with modern equipment, including X-ray and ultrasound machines, which greatly supported the detection, diagnosis, and treatment of health conditions for people living in the border region.

In recent years, healthcare for officers, soldiers, and border residents, especially in remote, isolated, and disadvantaged areas of Son Vi commune, has remained a priority for the Son Vi Border Post. The station’s medical force has pro-actively worked with local health authorities to provide free check-ups, medicines; carry out the expanded immunization program; conduct community education on disease prevention.

This initiative carries profound humanitarian significance, fostering solidarity and compassion toward border communities where living conditions remain difficult and access to healthcare facilities is limited. It contributes to improving healthcare services for ethnic minorities in border areas, while also strengthening the foundation and resources for socio-economic development and the firm defense of national sovereignty and border security.
