Cau Bong Border Post’s troops searching for the missing

At 6a.m. on February 20, Cau Bong Border Post detected a trawler, named "Tan Teo," owned and captained by Huynh Van Quy, a resident of Vinh Hai ward, Khanh Hoa province’s Nha Trang city, with five crew-members on board. When returning from a fishing trip, the trawler was capsized by waves near the estuary of the Cai River, about 700 meters from the Tran Phu Bridge.

Cau Bong Border Post deployed forces and rescue vehicles and called on local fishing boats to participate in the search and rescue efforts. Divers were sent to inspect the cabin, fishing nets, and surrounding areas of the capsized boat.

By 12p.m., the rescue teams found four fishermen. Two others are still missing. The trawler was towed to an area near the Cai River, opposite the Ponagar Tower in Vinh Phuoc ward.
