Coast Guard Region 1 accompanies Quang Binh fishermen
PANO - Continuing the plan for mass mobilization efforts in Northern coastal localities in 2024, on December 25, the Command of Coast Guard Region 1 coordinated with the Commission for Mass Mobilization under the Quang Binh Provincial Party Committee, as well as the authorities of Quang Ninh district, to organize the "Coast guard force accompanying fishermen" program.
During the program, the Command of Coast Guard Region 1 conducted a legal education session, disseminated regulations on combating illegal, unreported, and unregulated (IUU) fishing, distributed 300 informational leaflets, and provided 500 national flags along with legal handbooks to over 200 fishermen. Additionally, 150 gifts were presented to policy families, disadvantaged households, fishermen, and students in Quang Ninh district.

Deputy Head of the Commission for Mass Mobilization under the Quang Binh Provincial Party Committee Dang Dai Tinh emphasized that the activities conducted under the "Coast guard force accompanying fishermen" program in Quang Ninh district reflected the dedication and responsibility of the Vietnam Coast Guard, particularly the Command of Coast Guard Region 1, in supporting policy families, disadvantaged citizens, and students in overcoming difficulties.

These efforts have helped strengthen the solidarity between the military and civilians, contributing to the collaboration in building firm whole-people national defense and people's security postures in the region, further promoting the image of "Uncle Ho's soldiers - Vietnamese coast guard soldiers."
