On receiving the information, the Coast Guard Region 4 Command sought directions from the leadership of the Vietnam Coast Guard Command and dispatched Ship CSB 3008 to carry out the search and rescue mission.

Despite harsh weather conditions, darkness, and rough sea, by 7:30 p.m. the same day, Ship CSB 3008 had reached the scene. At that time, the fishing vessel already sunk, and all four crew-members were drifting at sea.
