The event, attended by Head of the Party Central Committee’s Organization Commission Le Minh Hung, highlighted activities welcoming the 2026 Lunar New Year and celebrating the 14th National Party Congress.

Speaking at the program, Comrade Le Minh Hung praised Ha Tinh province’s recent achievements, noting the vital contributions of the provincial armed forces, particularly the border guards. He emphasized their core role in safeguarding national sovereignty and border security. Furthermore, he highlighted their position as a reliable bridge between the Party, the State, and ethnic communities, fostering a border of peace, friendship, stability, and development.

A view of the event

The "Border spring warms people’s heart" program exemplified military–civilian solidarity and the Vietnamese tradition of mutual support. Reflecting the noble qualities of "Uncle Ho’s soldiers," the initiative strengthened public trust in the Party, State, and military.

In 2026, the Vietnam Border Guard Command partnered with Ha Tinh authorities to deliver practical aid. Organizers provided free medical exams and medicine to over 500 residents, donated breeding cattle to 33 households, and distributed nearly 900 Tet gift sets to policy families and the poor.

The program inaugurated four houses and awarded 203 scholarships, valued at over VND 400 million, to students under the “Paving the way to school for children – Forster children of border posts” and “Military soldiers pave the way to school for children” initiatives. Additionally, delegations visited and extended New Year greetings to local authorities, schools, and military units in Huong Xuan commune, providing further support exceeding VND 1 billion.
