Army cares for policy beneficiaries
PANO - On Dec. 14, a working delegation of the Logistical Department of the General Department of Logistics of the Vietnam People’s Army launched a healthcare program to provide health checkups, free medicine and gifts to national contributors in Ky Phu commune, Nho Quan district, Ninh Binh province.

During the program, 20 doctors and medical employees from the unit offered screenings to nearly 200 locals for several conventional ailments such as cardiovascular or respiratory diseases, and so on. On this occasion, the delegation also handed over 18 gifts, worth VND 500,000 each, to disadvantaged people in the area.
* The same day, the Technical Department of Military Region 4 (MR 4) inaugurated a house of gratitude in Nghi Lien commune, Vinh city, Nghe An province, and handed it over to Major Dang Dinh Dung, a non-commissioned officer of the maintenance team of armored vehicles of Depot KX5.

The recipient is the son of martyr Dang Dinh Dan, who laid down his life during the national resistance war against the American invaders.
The Technical Department gave VND 70 million from its “Fund of Gratitude” and troops of Depot KX5 raised VND 20 million to support Dan’s family to build the 100sq.m. construction.
The construction is meaningful to the officer’s family and reflects the sentiment and responsibilities of local units’ troops as well as helping them overcome hardship to stabilize their lives.
* The Military Hospital of MR4 inaugurated and handed over a house of comradeship to the family of Lieutenant Hoang Thi Thao, an officer who works as a nurse in Department B5 of the hospital.

The 120sq.m house was built at a total cost of VND 280 million, including VND 70 million from the Ministry of National Defense, and the remaining from the hospital and the family. Additionally, the hospital’s staff and troops donated 100 working days to build the house.
The gift was expected to help Thao, a martyr’s daughter, and her family to overcome housing difficulty.
