Among these activities, cooperation between military units and schools, particularly through field visits and experiential programs, has helped students gain a deeper understanding of the traditions of the Vietnam People’s Army and fostered pride and respect for the soldiers who work tirelessly to safeguard peace for the nation.

Regiment 141 welcomes students from Mai Sao Primary School for a visit and experiential activities at the unit.

The barracks of Regiment 141 have been livelier than usual as the unit coordinated with Mai Sao Primary School in Nhan Ly commune, Lang Son province, to organize a series of visits and hands-on activities for students. From the moment they entered the barracks, students were impressed by the neatly aligned formations, the firm and steady commands, and the synchronized footsteps of soldiers on the training ground. Visits to the living and dining areas further highlighted the disciplined and orderly lifestyle of the troops.

Many students experienced these activities for the first time, including learning how to fold blankets into sharp right angles and observing drill formations. Kieng Thuy Dung, a fifth-grade student from Mai Sao Primary School, shared that she was deeply impressed by the soldiers’ serious, disciplined, and methodical way of life. She noted that folding a perfectly squared blanket requires persistent practice and training, which strengthened her admiration for the soldiers’ perseverance. Inspired by the visit, she expressed her determination to study hard and her dream of becoming a female military medic in the future.

The affection that students felt for the military was evident across different age groups. Younger children were delighted when soldiers gently guided them in folding bedding, led them to visit production areas, or warmly interacted with them throughout the tour. The image of soldiers as approachable, caring, and friendly figures left a lasting impression on the children.

According to the plan, the activities included reviewing the traditions of the Vietnam People’s Army, cultural exchanges, parade and drill demonstrations, martial arts performances, visits to the unit’s living quarters and production areas, hands-on practice in daily military routines, and recreational activities.

School representatives emphasized that such “see, hear, and touch” experiences are highly effective in developing students’ life skills, discipline, and confidence. Unit leaders also affirmed that careful preparation ensured safety and suitability for each age group, helping transform these experiences into meaningful lessons and lasting memories for the students.
