The conference was connected online to 20 communes and wards in Thai Nguyen province. There, voters were introduced to candidate profiles and action programs. Presenting his commitments, Gen. Giang pledged that if re-elected, he would together with National Assembly deputies continue improving the legal system, especially in national defense and Fatherland protection, strengthen supervision of law implementation, enhance state management effectiveness, build a democratic, professional and modern administration serving the people and international integration, and improve capacity to respond to non-traditional security challenges.

He expressed that he would, together with comrades in the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense focus on building a revolutionary, regular, elite and modern Vietnam People’s Army; closely combining socio-economic development with defense and security consolidation; supporting remote, border and island areas; actively responding to disasters and diseases; and serving as a bridge between voters and central authorities to help Thai Nguyen province advance toward becoming a modern economic-industrial center.
Voters expressed strong support and high expectations.
Also in the province, in the afternoon the same day, leading a National Election Council delegation, Gen. Giang inspected preparations for the election of deputies to the 16th N.A. and people’s councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term.
After having had on-site inspections at some polling stations and heard reports on election preparations, Gen. Giang praised the province’s pro-active, systematic preparations, including completion of voter lists and logistics arrangements, while urging strict adherence to higher-level directives to ensure progress and quality.

Later, he chaired a conference announcing an inspection and supervision decision of the Politburo and the Secretariat of the Party Central Committee for the Standing Board of the Thai Nguyen Provincial Party Committee.
The inspection will focus on implementation of the 14th National Party Congress Resolution, directives on election leadership, organization and operation of agencies and units according to the two-tier local government model, development of solutions to achieve GDP growth targets of 10% or more for the 2026-2030 period, and policies on science, technology, innovation and digital transformation.
He called for substantive evaluation based on concrete outcomes and close coordination with the inspection delegation.
