The program attracted more than 400 students from Phan Chu Trinh, Nguyen Thai Hoc and Trang Dai primary schools.

During the program, participating students toured the barracks, learned about the unit’s traditions, viewed displays of weapons and equipment, and experienced several basic training activities such as bedding arrangement, participating in farming activities, and joining collective activities in accordance with the disciplined lifestyle of soldiers.

Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Ta Binh, Secretary of the Youth Union Organization and Deputy Political Chief of the brigade, shared that through hands-on experiential activities, the unit aims to spread love for the homeland and country, nurture pride in the heroic Vietnam People’s Army, and help students develop life skills, a sense of discipline, spirit of solidarity and responsibility toward the community from an early age.

Principal of Nguyen Thai Hoc Primary School Vu Trong Phan said that this was a highly meaningful educational activity that created opportunities for students to “learn through experience,” further understand the life and missions of Uncle Ho’s soldiers, and foster patriotism and gratitude toward previous generations who sacrificed their lives for national independence and freedom.

The program was a practical highlight in the series of activities titled “I love Uncle Ho’s soldiers.” It helped strengthen the close relationship and effective coordination between military units and the local education sector, and shine the noble image of Uncle Ho’s soldiers.

* The same day, Flotilla 21 under the Coast Guard Region 2 Command organized the program “Students try being soldiers,” welcoming over 100 students and teachers from Kim Dong Primary School, Tam Ky ward, Da Nang city.

During the program, the guests toured the unit’s barracks, living and training areas, and coast guard ships at the port. They also watched documentary films introducing the traditions of the Vietnam People’s Army, the Vietnam Coast Guard and Coast Guard Region 2 Command. The content was delivered concisely and vividly, suitable for primary school students.

In addition, the unit organized games and experiential activities such as guiding students to fold bedding, trying out the role of Coast Guard soldiers, singing about the sea and islands, and drawing pictures of soldiers. These activities created a lively and joyful atmosphere, allowing students to practically experience the disciplined military lifestyle.

Through these activities, students’ patriotism and love for the homeland, national sea and islands were fostered, helping them develop greater affection for Coast Guard soldiers.
